Are we Different?

So over the weeks I have seen a lot of LDS bloggers and others complain about how Christians say that Mormons “have a different Jesus” or “Don’t have the Jesus of the Bible”. Well as most Christians and pastors and people who look into the difference in the two beliefs, they understand this to be truth. This is one of the reasons Christians are called anti-Mormon, but it’s not anti-Mormon it’s fact. We believe in two different God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Also we believe in two different origins of man. In a attempt to make it clear, here is a chart that I have used from the book “Mormonism Unmasked”.

When you look at this you can see that there are two different things. That’s why we say the LDS has two different God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Announcing the Compassionate Boldness Conference

Friends of MRM,

We are down to a mere month and a half before we hold our 2011 Compassionate Boldness Conference (Oct. 14-15, 2011). Unlike MRM’s Compassionate Boldness Symposiums, the conference features the expertise of a number of people who are actively engaged in sharing the gospel message with our Latter-day Saint friends and loved ones. We thank Pastor Terry Long of Calvary Chapel Salt Lake City for graciously hosting this event.

This year Rob Bowman will be our main plenary speaker. He will be addressing the subject of LDS exaltation. What does the Bible say about this and is this really just a another version of theosis? Our wide range of topics will be an asset both to those who are familiar with Mormonism, and those who are just getting acquainted with this fascinating religion.

We hope you will help us make this conference a great success by mentioning it to your friends, congregations, Facebook pages, web sites, etc. I have attached a variety of promotional material. This is includes flyers, post cards, and bulletin inserts. Feel free to print and distribute whatever works for you. In order to encourage early registration we are offering substantial tuition discounts.

Just Some Words

If you believe what you like in the Gospel, and reject what you don't like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself. – Augustine

In the past weeks I have talk with people that say, “It’s my personal belief…”  This is a issue, when you put in your personal belief into something you are adding to it what you want.  when it comes to the things of God you cannot do this. 

I always remember a saying on the BBC show Doctor Who, “There are some things that are just set in time a space.” 

When the Gospel is placed in front of us, we can not change it.  when we do we brake the first commandment, Don’t have any other God.  this is what you do when you change the gospel, you make your own God. 

I can believe that my dog is a Pit Bull but that does not make it so.

Remember that this is God creation and we live in it.  It is up to you to live by him or live for yourself.

Just Like Paul

Just like Paul, I have come to and understanding that we must give all things over to God.  I have been studying Romans 6 today and I have just been so blessed by what it says, I just need to write this.

Just like Paul when Jesus came to him, Paul gave his life to God.  Being a Jew, Paul knew God but he did not know God.  Through Jesus Paul became one of the best preachers in the world and it’s because he gave it all to God.

Romans 6 talks about how we have a new life in Christ and how we should live each moment for God because of the grace that He has shown us and is still showing us.  Start now by giving your life to Christ and Live each moment for Him.
